H O M EMelindo vs Estrada Fight Updates and Results. The Filipino Milan Melindo failed his assignment to be one of the Filipino World Boxing Champions against Juan Francisco Estrada in a tough battle for WBO flyweight title and WBA Super World flyweight title held at Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, Macao, Macao S.A.R., China last July 27, 2013. The replay of the fight will be seen this Sunday at 10:15 am only on ABS-CBN network. The scorecards were huge margin in favor to Estrada - judge Takeshi Shimakawa saw it 117-109 for Estrada, judge Zoltan Enyedi saw it 118-109 for Estrada and judge Rafael Ramos saw it 118-109 for Estrada. I thought it was a close fight as I've seen it on live via internet.
But for Milan, he never fails and he shouldn't be ashamed for his first unsuccessful title contention whom he faced the toughest guy in that division where Filipino former Champ Brian Viloria lost also to this Mexican Estrada. Milan will come back stronger and he will learn through this bitter lost. But we have two Filipino boxers who won that big event at Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, Macao, Macao S.A.R., China - July 27, 2013 even though Milan Melindo failed his bid. We have Dave Penalosa whom he defeated Wisaruth Wor Khunkhiri via KO in round 4. We also have Genesis Servania from ALA stable whom he defeated Konosuke Tomiyama of Japan via RTD round 9. The fight of Genesis was also a very much exciting fight, I hope there would be a rematch for this two exciting fighters.
