H O M EFIGHT UPDATE: Vitor Belfort defeated Dan Henderson via TKO (head kick and punches) in round 1
SAO PAULO – Vitor Belfort is more than a 3-1 favorite over Dan Henderson in their trilogy fight on Saturday. Do their fellow fighters think the underdog has a shot in the rubber match?
In the main event, former UFC champion Vitor Belfort will square off against Dan Henderson in a middleweight contest. It will be the third meeting between the two fighters with each fighter claiming one win each.
The main event features a rubber match between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort, this time at 185 lbs, while light heavyweight contenders Patrick Cummins and Glover Teixeira meet in the co-main. Bantamweight prospect Thomas Almeida also returns to the Octagon for the 3rd time this year, as he faces Anthony Birchak.
Henderson defeated Belfort in their first encounter in 2006 at Pride 32 via unanimous decision. Belfort defeated Henderson in their second encounter in 2013 at UFC Fight Night: Belfort vs. Henderson via first round knockout.
