On " Voice Ph Battles" Lea Says its heartbreaking




Advisers tease 'big rotate' in forming,,..advisers of the Philippine version of the strike global franchise "The Voice" were forced to trim down their team constituents early this week in a stage of the display that left Lea Salonga "exhausted" and "heart-broken."


The Tony accolade victor, who is among the four superstar-coaches on "The Voice of the Philippines," took to micro-blogging location Twitter Tuesday and Wednesday to articulate mixed emotions about the talent search's assault Rounds.
"Another heartbreaking and tiring day. But oh, such glorious music made! I love my job! Thank you, ['The Voice'] for the opportunity!" she said in another tweet.

The ABS-CBN program on July 8 started the two-day taping of its second stage, which had coaches eradicating several members on their respective teams by pairing them up in a singing showdown.

As in the worldwide format of "The Voice," the artist in each "battle" who influences their adviser will continue on to connect the live performance stage of the affray.

Leading up to this week's assault Rounds, the advisers -- Salonga, along with Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Manalac and Allan "apl.de.ap" Pineda -- had been mentoring their respective group constituents in preparation for the showdown.

Lea's advising style

In advising her artists, Salonga, for part, locations worth on simplicity over pointless" affectations in singing.

"In periods of keeping it easy, that’s furthermore deceiving," she told Kapamilya host young man Abunda in his pillar released Thursday on The Philippine celebrity.

Yung hindi naman nagpapaakyat ng emosyon dun sa awit na ‘yon. If you can do them, large. But it has to be right for that individual," she said.

Salonga, who is named a "Broadway diva" for her roles in worldwide stage productions, said she also tries to recognise the exclusive strengths of her group members. She cited as an demonstration her own case -- that she "cannot do birit."

"The thing is for me kasi, pag hindi bagay sa iyo ang bumirit, wag kang bumirit. I am one of those people that will not do it. Dudugo ang vocal chords ko.

"So it’s really about finding out what a person’s unique voice is. If it actually calls to them routinely, if it sounds like Whitney Houston or Lani Misalucha or Sarah Geronimo, then that is where you should be. That is where your strength is. What we are endeavouring to do is number out (on the display) is ano 'yung totoong boses nila. Hopefully, we will be adept to help people number that out," she said.

whereas it will be a while before TV viewers can watch the outcomes of the advisers' meetings with their artists, the production behind "The Voice of the Philippines" on its diverse social newspapers anecdotes distributed sneak-peeks of the Battle Rounds.

'Big rotate'

With the airing agenda of the assault Rounds set on July 28, five more episodes of the unseeing Auditions are anticipated to air.

As of the most recent episode of "The Voice of the Philippines" aired last Sunday, Mañalac has currently recruited nine creative persons; Geronimo and Pineda, eight each; and Salonga, seven.

Each coach is forming a group of 12 creative persons.

On Thursday during the noontime kind program "It's Showtime," Salonga, along with her young person advisers, teased a "big twist" in the mechanics of forming a final group going into the live displays.

"May dapat po kayong abangan na large-scale rotate sa pagbuo namin ng groups. Labanan ito ng boses at labanan din ito ng mga advisers to arrive up with the best group of artists," she said.

Hosted by Toni Gonzaga with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo, "The Voice of the Philippines" airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. and Sundays at 8:15 p.m.
