Join call of Marian and Dingdong to release Mali

Celebrity twosome Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes connected Kapamilya stars in expressing their support for the issue of an elderly elephant in the Manila Zoo.
Just like Kim Chiu, Xian Lim, Gerald Anderson, Maja Salvador, Sam Milby, Shaina Magdayao, Enrique Gil and Piolo Pascual, Rivera and Dantes held “prison-like” cards which displayed their titles, pursued by the declaration “wants Mali freed.”

Mali is a solitary elephant at the Manila Zoo said to be suffering from a possibly fatal base problem and profound loneliness.

The ads were conceptualized by the animal privileges assembly People for the Ethical remedy of Animals (PETA) Asia, which strives to have Mali moved to a sanctuary in Thailand.

“Being alone is emotional torture to elephants,” Dantes said in a statement released by PETA Asia on Wednesday.

PETA Asia crusade supervisor Rochelle Regodon, for her part, said: “Mali has been punished to a miserable life of solitary confinement with wholeheartedly nothing to do day after day, year after year.”

“How long will the deafening call for her freedom – approaching from scientists, politicians, devout leaders and celebrities – be disregarded by her cruel captors at the Manila Zoo?”

PETA Asia assertions that Mali’s veterinary care “has been vitally ignored for more than 36 years, initating her to tolerate unchanging pain.”

Earlier, Malacañang said it has instructed government bureaus to look into Mali’s condition.
