Singer vocalist Yeng Constantino and her boyfriend Victor Christian Asuncion for the first time acquiesced to do a reside sit-down interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday.

“Crush ko na talaga siya nung umpisa tapos nahihiya ako kaya hindi ko siya pinapansin. At first nakita ko siya, parang nagandahan ako sa kanya pero more than that, sobrang inadmire ko ang passion niya when she sings. 'Yun talaga ang nag-strike sa akin,” he said.
But the detail that Constantino is a well-known personality did not halt Asuncion from chasing the vocalist.
“I understand that she’s actually well known but nakita ko siya behind the lights, friendly naman siya. I got to understand her as a friend,” he said.
But it wasn’t an easy ride for Asuncion as Constantino was not yet ready to commit at that time.
“Last year nung nanliligaw na siya sa akin tapos nag-decide ako na ‘Isipin mo muna kung talagang gusto mo ako.’ So binalik ko ang bulalak sa kanya, 'yung note niya. Nung binasted ko siya nung time na iyon, umiyak din ako. Gusto ko lang din na mag-isip siya kung ako talaga ang gusto niya,” Constantino said.
Certain about his feelings for the Kapamilya singer, Asuncion remained for months and proved to Constantino that he actually loves her.
“Nung binalik niya sa akin yung flowers, sobrang lungkot ko talaga so umuwi ako dala ko 'yung roses. Hindi pa rin ako willing to let go of her. Ang ginawa ko nilagay ko sa jar tapos prineserve ko. Nilagay ko lang sa vehicle ko para every time magda-drive ako, makikita ko,” he said.
“Naniniwala pa rin ako na hindi pa rin tapos eh. Sabi ko kay God, gusto ko talaga ang young female na ito. Nag-pray ako,” he supplemented.
Asuncion is Constantino’s first boyfriend.
inquired what she admired about Asuncion, Constantino said: “Takot po ako sa firm pledge. Tapos dumating itong time na ito. Tinanong ako ng tatay ko kung ano ang gusto ko sa kanya. Sabi ko, ‘Papa, ngayon ko lang naramdaman na hindi ako natakot mag-commit, hindi ako natatakot maging woman companion. Para siyang sweet surrender.’”
Constantino said she feels lucky to be Asuncion’s woman companion because she understands that he is faithful.
“Sobrang appreciative ako kay God na ikaw ang man na binigay niya sa akin. I’m actually challenged na ikaw ang nilagay niya sa buhay ko. Mas lalo akong nai-inspire maging better person,” she said.
Constantino and Asuncion became a couple last June 18.
