Actress Kim Chiu sustained that she does not owe anyone an interpretation following some rumors about her connection with her family, particularly her late mother.
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Chiu said she is used to the rumors, citing her know-how as a truth display contestant.
The actress is the first victor of "Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition," which was aired on ABS-CBN channel 2.
“Okay lang naman sa akin [na marami silang sinasabi] kasi I’m a public number. But I came from a reality display so they understand where I came from. Siguro 'yung footage na shinare ko, that’s sufficient for them to know,” she said.
“You can say whatever you desire to state. Ako ito eh. I don’t care about their attitude as long as I’m happy, I’m blessed, I’m thankful and I’m contented,” she supplemented.
Asked if this strong mind-set is what going through a allotment of ordeals has done to her, she said: “Siguro. Life moves on. You can learn from your familiarity. Doon lang naman umiikot iyon eh, sa tama or mali. You just have to accept kung anong nangyayari sa buhay mo.”

Meanwhile, Chiu said she is thankful to have actor Xian Lim habitually by her edge even through the most difficult times.
Just recently, Chiu chucked a surprise anniversary party for the player as her way of thanking him for everything he has done.
“Siguro it’s my way of saying express gratitude you sa lahat ng efforts niya. Kasi sa lahat ng binigay niyang gifts, effort, time, wala akong binabalik sa kanya. Nakakahiya, ang kapal ng face ko. Maalaga siya. And funny siya,” she said.
While they have been persistently connected to each other, Chiu sustained that there is not anything loving going on between them -- at least for now.
“Masaya lang ako kapag nandiyan si Xian, kapag kasama mo siya, tatawa ka lang nang tatawa. Sobra akong nagpapasalamat. I’m joyous, appreciative and contented sa kung anong meron ako ngayon,” she said.
Chiu said she appreciates Lim’s genuineness and his ways of making her joke after a hectic work day.
