H O M EJulia Barretto a teen actress shrugged off talks that her upcoming series “Confradia” will no longer push through.
Kapamilya teen star Julia Barretto (photo) is all set to make all of her dreams come true as ABS-CBN announces that she will topbill the TV remake of Dominador Ad Castillo’s novel Cofradia.
Barretto said the television project is still a go despite the controversy that its plot has created. Last Thursday interview with ABS-CBN during her contract signing with Star Magic.
She said, “That’s not true. Hindi pa naman ako nasabihan about that. Pero I think huwag muna i-judge 'yung story. Hindi pa naman napapalabas. 'Yung story naman na ito, madami ring matututunan ang mga bata, 'yung mga teenagers my age.
It tells the story of a young woman who is afraid to fall in love because of her insecurities. With the help of a magic candle, she eventually transforms into a beautiful lady. "Cofradia" is based on the Dominador Ad Castillo novel of the same title.
Julia Barretto urged speculators and observers to just watch out for her new show before passing judgment and bad issues.
She also said,“Yung teleserye kasi pang-family din. Huwag muna i-judge 'yung story kung hindi pa alam ang kuwento. We are doing a lot of preparations. I’m doing workshops.
Cofradia features the story of a girl who is afraid to fall in love because of her dark complexion, but will eventually transform into a beautiful young lady through the help of a magic candle. Watch out for Julia’s first drama series Cofradia this year on ABS-CBN.
Before being introduced as a member of Star Magic Circle 2013, Julia has already caught the attention of televiewers not only because she comes from a showbiz family but because of her portrayals in drama series such as Kokey, Palos and Walang Kapalit.
Last 1953 “Confradia” was first played by Gloria Romero and later on by Gina Alajat in 1973.
No announcement yet for the playdate of “Confradia,” as well as its other cast members.
However,Julia Barretto, disclosed that she will begin taping the series soon.
