Amalia Fuentes desires joyfulness" for the cast of the upcoming sequence "Muling Buksan ang Puso," particularly veteran actress Pilar Pilapil, who has been tapped to restore her after resigning from the project.
In an interview with ABS-CBN report' Mario Dumaual on Wednesday, Fuentes said she "[has] nothing but good desires for this series," which was broadcast in early May to feature the "rivalry" of Fuentes and long-time ally Susan Roces.
"Kaya nga ako nakapagtaping ng kahit one day, because I liked the idea nga of employed in a teleserye, with my dear associates Susan and Dante (Rivero) and Cherie (Gil)," Fuentes said.
On May 27, although, only weeks after the new series was presented, ABS-CBN broadcast that Fuentes had resigned from the project due to "creative differences with the output team."
Fuentes on Wednesday accepted that she had felt "I was not right for the role," premier her to overtake up the sequence, but related that it had been a tough conclusion.
"It was a heart-wrenching conclusion for me. It took me an entire night before I made that decision, kasi siguro I was already primed to do a teleserye," said Fuentes, whose part in the project would have marked the first time for her to celebrity in a TV sequence.
The veteran actress would have had as young person cast members lead stars Julia Montes, Enchong Dee and Enrique Gil, along with Dominic Ochoa, Daniel Fernando, Matt Evans, Malou Crisologo and Pooh.
Pilapil, ABS-CBN report has learned, has already been cast in the function Fuentes gave up.
Asked for her reacting to the casting alternative, Fuentes said, "Bagay kay Pilar! She's good, she's good... If Pilar feels that she is right for the function, then she should be good at it. I desire her the best."
Fuentes, for her part, said she is thrilled to be given a "second possibility" by ABS-CBN to celebrity in another "teleserye" project. The veteran will have a special participation in the last mentioned part of the Judy Ann Santos-starrer "Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala," which premiered on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida impede last Monday.
"I am happy now where I am, and I hope Pilar will be joyous with the function that she is going to play, and everybody will be happy, and I'm sure they will be also," Fuentes said.
