Typhoon Pablo or Bagyong Pablo (international named Bopha) latest update as of December 5, 2012. According to our official PAG-ASA DOST weather update, state weather bureau PAGASA reported on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. The Typhoon Pablo or Bagyong Pablo has now continuously weakened as it continues to move towards Northern Palawan changing its velocity from a very high of 130 kph and gustiness of up to of 160 kph and dangerous maximum of 210 kph, but it is forecast to move West Northwest at 24 kph.
It is now forecast according to the official PAG-ASA as of this 4:00 am today: Palawan including Calamian Group of Islands, Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Bohol, Siquijor, Southern Cebu and Negros Provinces will experience stormy weather with rough to very rough seas. Mindoro provinces including Lubang Island, Romblon, the rest of Panay and Cebu, Lanao Del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga Del Norte and Camiguin will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. Bicol, CARAGA and Davao regions and the rest of Visayas will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains. The rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy with brief rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA weather report had estimated rainfall amount is from 10 to 18 mm per hour (heavy to intense) within the 400-km diameter of Typhoon Pablo.
Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signals are advise to be alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Those living in coastal areas under public storm warning signal #3 and signal #2 are also alerted against big waves or storm surges.
