This coming May 12, 2012, Brian "The Hawaiian Punch" Viloria will again seek vengeance to his trilogy boxing opponent that halted his rise for a while ago on his boxing career, this man was beating Viloria once and claimed a majority decision in their second trilogy fight but declared no contest for not post fight drug test of this opponent. This Mexican boxer is no other than Omar Nino "The Giant Killer" Romero fighting against Brian Viloria for the third time as a trilogy fight.
Brian "Hawaiian Punch" Viloria, the Three-time world champion will be on the main event of "Island Assault 4: The Battle" pay-per-view-event, will fight against the Mexican Omar Nino Romero this coming May 12 2012 Saturday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Viloria will defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Flyweight Championship.
Viloria with a boxing record of 30 wins (KO 17) with 3 losses (KO 1) and 0 drawn, 1 loss for Omar Nino Romero on their first encounter. He will handle for the time against Romero with a boxing record of 31 wins (KO 13) with 4 losses (KO 2) and 2 draws will undisputedly complete their trilogy and hopefully for Viloria, he will stand toe to toe, he will dominate the fight, or anything will happen inorder for him to win and fill the gap of being one of the undisputed best of pound for pound boxers in the world.
Viloria said in the interview,
"I want to clean the slate this fight. We’ve had a loss and draw, changed to a no contest, and that was my first loss. It kind of set the tone for how my career would go. I feel like there’d be unfinished business if I left it like that. The trilogy gives me a chance to put that chapter behind me. Romero is deceivingly quick and a little awkward at times. He goes in-and-out fairly well and throws a lot of combinations."
Brian Viloria has beaten many of best fighters in his weight division in the world, they were Giovanni Segura recently, Ulises Solis, Omar Soto, Eric Ortiz, Jose Antonio Aguirre, Julio Cesar Miranda, Angel Antonio Priolo and many boxers that made him rise to the top of his weight division.
As Viloria spoke about his boxing career,
"Right now, making it into the top 10 of the pound-for-pound list what really keeps me going. It’s been a dream of mine. I’ve done just about everything as an amateur and professional. I want to keep fighting but not just to be a footnote. I want to make my imprint to where people in 10-20 years will talk about watching ‘The Hawaiian Punch.’ My legacy is what really drives me today. I love boxing. It’s been my passion since I was six, so I’ve been doing this for a while. When the day comes to hang it up, I’ll cross that bridge, and I’ll know when it’s time. I’m in the best shape of my life now. I’m in my prime and plan to be world champion for a while longer."
